Everyone was carefree,
Everything was going according to plan,
They got their way and so did I,
But then I was left with nothing,
The ground began to shake beneath my feet,
All I could hear was the air,
Whispering in my ear,
Trying to persuade me,
Saying I was wrong,
Well the wind was right.
Everything I thought I knew,
Has been thrown out the window,
There's no more absolutes,
Only questions with open answers,
I'm trying to tell myself,
It will be different,
When the day comes to an end,
But I enjoyed the view of ratios,
Being close to one,
I'll settle for seven,
Instead of three and a half
