Song #18 Skeleton in the Closet

Take a hard look,

It isn't difficult to see,

The blood is covering the floor,

Anyone can see the scars,

And make their own diagnosis,

Labels and labels,

Frame everything you can,

But I can't find anyone to blame but myself,

These wounds,

They're still hurting,

And I'm growing weak,

Giving in again,

I can't break this cycle,

Quit and the evidence is there for all to see,

Keep going and feel the convictions,

Choose,

Either way we'll suffer on and on,

Shed light in this dark room,

See what we've become,

Choices and choices endlessly made,

But none seem to be right,

Abstinence leaves your life a wreck,

And your left covering up the trail,

Try to do what's right,

Though it will end,

A tragedy like before,

Starting and stopping again and again,

Just give it up,

There's just one body to bury,

But we've gambled way too deep,

Everything will lead to the start,

No one will think of us the same.
