I saw the birds fly overhead,
For what felt like hours,
Spring was closer to coming again,
But I heard of a garden...
Who's flowers were brilliant,
No weeds could be found,
The envy of others,
But the owner was proud,
The care was mundane,
And the reward so bright,
So I walked around,
And I sat through the night.
I can hear wings,
From the bees up above,
The sidewalk has faded but I'll find where it was,
My mind is tired from picturing again,
So I move even faster, to where I've been never been,
Rolling wheels and parking lots,
The city never sleeps, but the traffic stops,
Meeting places filled with empty faces,
I hope you've seen what I've been looking for.
I crept into my room,
As if I was a thief,
I never spoke of this venture,
My dreams were put to sleep,
I knew I'd have to wait for this chance again,
But that was ok,
I had pictures to keep me company,
I can hear wings,
From the bees up above,
The sidewalk has faded but I'll find where it was,
My mind is tired of imagining once again,
So I move even faster, to where I've been never been,
Rolling wheels and parking lots,
Every car looks the same,
But each person is not,
Seven minutes never passed,
Like they did that day,
But tomorrow was better,
I didn't leave empty,
After it was over,
I left with fear,
But I was filled with joy,
Although the night was approaching
The sun was still shining on me,
I can hear wings,
From the bees up above,
The sidewalk has faded but I'll find where it was,
My mind is tired from imagining you,
So I move even faster, to where I've been never been,
Rolling wheels and parking lots,
I found you at last,
And it was more than enough,
Months will pass by,
I'll wait for you again,
But I'll be back,
You just have to say when
